Why do our scriptures print the facsimile without showing missing spots of the torn scroll that were redrawn by Joseph Smith?

All of our scriptures have the Book of Abraham, including the images of the facsimiles, as they are called. Why are we being deceived as to the image having parts of it drawn in? Why is that not indicated somehow in the image?
